Human rights lawyer and international law scholar. Since May 2022, she has served as the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. Her recent reports include Anatomy of a Genocide, released on 25 March 2024, and Gaza Genocide: A Collective Crime (A/80/492), issued on 20 October 2025. These reports document human rights violations in the Palestinian territories, framing the occupation and its effects through the lens of international law, including allegations of genocide and systemic oppression. She is also Senior Advisor on Migration and Forced Displacement at Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), where she co-founded the Global Network on the Question of Palestine in 2018.
