Palestinian writer, He completed his secondary education at the almataran's School in 1964 and then continued his university studies in Lebanon in 1965. He was forced to cut his studies there, and was deported to Spain in 1967. He was arrested in 1968. He remained in detention until 1980, and was released as part of a prisoner exchange operation in Cyprus. In the prison he wrote three studies: "What do you know about Fatah?", "The Palestinian revolution as we see it" and "The logic of fighting between the shield and the spear". At the end of 1998 he was allowed to return to the homeland. He was appointed Director-General of the Office of the President in Bethlehem. He became an Under-Secretary of the Presidential Office until his retirement at the beginning of 2006.
