Profile

Professor of the Depatment of Education at Birzeit University. Served as dean for the Faclty of EDucation, dean of the Faculty of Arts, Director of the Ibn Rusd Centre for Educational Development, and Director the Birzeit Univesrity Library. Holds a BA in physics, a PhD in education from Stanford University, worked in the field of educational development in Ramallah schools and was one of the founders of the Teacher Development Center in 1992, He was a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Institution for the Advancement of Education, Stanford University, Most of his writing and research focus on science education, professional development, and democracy education.
