Profile

Associate professor of sociology. He holds BA in sociology at Birzeit University in 1986, and both MA, and PhD in Sociology of development from Nanterre University- Paris. He is  a faculty member of Birzeit university since 1995. He had an important role in the establishment of several academic programs in the University, and was appointed several positions, the latest of which is the dean of The Arts Faculty since 2015. His research interests and publications focus on migration, development, social policies, and civil society.
