Profile

Trained as an economist in development, he holds a BA (Hons) from Oxford University and an MA from the University of London (SOAS). He conducted research and published a wide-ranging lecture on the Palestinian economic situation in Lebanon, the Arab region and the occupied territories 1948. He worked with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) from 1985 to 2013 and as Chief Economist, as Coordinator of the Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People, Head of its Debt and Development Financing Branch and Head of the Office of the Director or Division of Globalization and Development Strategies. He currently works as an independent researcher in Palestine.
