Internationalist and a professor of contemporary history, with an interest in Palestine (انتفاضة 1987: تحوّل شعب, co-authored, co-edited with Ala Jaradat, Institute for Palestine Studies, 2020; “La Jordanie et les Palestiniens, les meilleurs des ennemis: voyage dans l’espace et le temps,” Confluences-Méditerranée, 2019) in the context of north-south relations over the Mediterranean (“The Framing of Empire: Cyprus and Cypriots through British Eyes, 1878-1960,” The Cyprus Review, 2011), and a focus on pedagogy and the interaction of theory with praxis (Birzeit University, PhD course Major Theoretical Debates in the Social Sciences, the Study of the South and the Arab Region, spring semester 2021).
